VERKA clogs has always been something I always wanted to build. I wanted to create a brand that lets you express your unique style and personality at the same time as they are being kind to your feet and to our environment. A brand for everyday use, regardless the occasion.VERKA clogs is a Swedish, non-seasonal,brand. It’s created for you, by us. Born out of our love for handmade crafts and timeless unique designs to embody the independent, fashionable and conscious person like yourself. Each style is crafted with love, from the designing process to the finished product. We want to deliver clogs that are timeless and that will last.
What does VERKA mean?
VERKA is a Swedish clog brand that’s brought to life deep in the forests of Sweden, and all clogs are made by hand. ‘VERKA’ in Swedish means “to have effect on”, which symbolizes the effect that these clogs will have on you and the people around you.
Swedish production
Our factory in Sweden follow European laws and policies regarding Labour relations practices. Our factory was carefully chosen in order to guarantee high-quality standards. Our factory has generational experience of crafting clogs since 1846. With respecting working conditions, producing in our factory in Sweden was an easy choice for us. Thank you for making responsible choices and shopping consciously.
Slow fashion
We know you care for our planet as much as we do. Sustainability is the number one aspect to have in mind when working with fashion and shoe production. We always want to do our best to make our clogs as kind as possible to our planet, all the way from idea to the finished pair. We want to create clogs that never go out of style, in high-quality materials that are durable and easily maintained, and most important, as sustainable as possible.
Examples of sustainable projects we have made so far:
- We only use natural materials.
- All our materials are sourced in Europe.
- Sometimes some of our clogs have minor imperfections. In order to minimize the waste in production we gather all these clogs and sell them at a discounted price. This collection is called VERKA zero waste.
- The leather we use makes it easy for you to take care of your clogs.
- Limewood doesn’t require a lot of water to grow.
